The “Yellow Line of Help and Solidarity” is one of KEPAKY’s signature programs, launched in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to support individuals and families facing socio-economic hardship. What began as a volunteer initiative under exceptional circumstances has evolved into a lifeline for thousands of households across Cyprus, offering food assistance, essential goods, and free psychological and social support.
The “Yellow Line of Help and Solidarity” was launched in spring 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when unemployment and financial insecurity were widespread. What began as a volunteer-driven humanitarian collaboration between KEPAKY, AEL FC under Mr. Andreas Sofocleous, actor and KEPAKY friend Kostas Vichas, and business volunteers quickly grew into a nationwide support network. By 2025, the program proudly celebrated five years of continuous operation, serving thousands of vulnerable individuals and families across Cyprus.
Initially focused on food distribution during lockdown, the program evolved to address deepening socio-economic challenges, including those triggered by the economic impact of the war in Ukraine. Today, beneficiaries also receive free psychological and social support through sessions and home visits, ensuring holistic care and dignity.
