Refugee and victims of war support

KEPAKY supports refugees and war victims through emergency language-learning programs, distribution of essential goods, and the operation of a kindergarten and an all-day elementary school for Ukrainian refugee children, fully covering all operational costs.

Overview

As an independent volunteer group, KEPAKY is able to respond rapidly to global crises. The Foundation provides support to refugees and war victims regardless of nationality, offering emergency Greek and English language programs both in-person and online.

Following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022, KEPAKY immediately mobilized to support incoming refugee families by providing food and clothing on a monthly basis. The Foundation expanded this effort by establishing a kindergarten and an all-day primary school in Ayia Napa for Ukrainian refugee children, enabling parents to work while their children learn in a safe environment.

Program Features

  • Emergency Greek and English language-learning programs
  • Monthly distribution of food and clothing to Ukrainian refugee families
  • Establishment of a kindergarten (approx. 20 children)
  • Establishment of an all-day elementary school (approx. 36 children)
  • Full operational costs covered by KEPAKY
  • Summer extension of the kindergarten and creation of a summer school
