KEPAKY, in collaboration with the European Social Forum, the Cyprus Paraplegic Organization, and numerous volunteers, created a social awareness campaign focusing on “Accessibility in the City.”
The initiative brought together actors, professionals, families with strollers, elderly individuals, and representatives of local authorities to highlight everyday challenges faced by people with mobility difficulties. A guided walk through the city of Limassol was organized, during which key accessibility issues were identified and recorded, while informational leaflets were distributed to raise public awareness.
The campaign aimed to promote a more inclusive and accessible urban environment for all citizens, emphasizing that responsibility lies both with public authorities and individuals. While progress has been made, the initiative highlighted the need for further improvements and corrective actions. KEPAKY extends its sincere appreciation to all participants and volunteers whose contribution made this meaningful initiative possible.
