KEPAKY organized an introductory lecture titled “Parents in Prevention” in Limassol, focusing on the role of family in preventing substance abuse and risky behaviors among youth.
The event highlighted the importance of the family as the primary environment for children’s social development, where key elements of character, behavior, and coping mechanisms are shaped. Recognizing the vital role of parents in prevention, KEPAKY aimed to provide guidance and practical support to help them better communicate with and support their children.
The lecture took place at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Center and included a presentation of the experiential workshop “Communication in the Family” by psychologist Nicole Giannaki (KENTHEA), as well as a talk on bullying behavior by Dr. Olga Solomonos-Kontouri. The initiative was addressed to parents, educators, and all those involved in youth development, reinforcing KEPAKY’s commitment to prevention, education, and the well-being of young people.
