During the COVID-19 lockdown in Cyprus, the humanitarian initiative “Yellow Line Help and Solidarity” was established to support vulnerable groups across the island through the distribution of essential food packages.
The outbreak of the COVID-19 health crisis and the strict lockdown measures led to the creation of the “Yellow Line Help and Solidarity” initiative, an idea by Andreas Sofocleous implemented through the collaboration of KEPAKY, AEL, and Kostas Vichas. Guided by the message “Together we can,” the initiative mobilized support networks and worked closely with municipalities, communities, and organized groups to provide food packages to vulnerable individuals and families throughout Cyprus during a challenging period.
